Join Jane and Sam to learn how Better Ballot Georgia is working to bring Ranked Choice (or Instant Runoff) Voting to Georgia!

Our elections are broken, and this common-sense, nonpartisan reform is a giant step to fixing them. Georgia taxpayers foot the bill for runoffs to the tune of some $75 million in each statewide election cycle. All that – only for results with such HUGE drop-offs in participation that they don’t actually represent the will of the people.

Polling shows that only a fraction of Georgia voters know what RCV is. BBGA has the opportunity to get out ahead of those spreading misinformation about it with broad-based education. Our 2025 Voter Guide is a potent strategy for this. It will report on local costs and turnout rates for municipal and county elections across Georgia and provide responses from over 2,000 local candidates to survey questions about RCV. We’re raising money to assure the Guide’s widespread reach.

The event will include remarks from the hosts and BBGA staff; a chance to mingle with RCV experts and ask questions; and a fun simulation for participants to experience RCV for yourself! Light hors-d’oeuvres will be served. Dress is business casual.
